EXPLORING EM
Effective Microorganisms (EM) is the brand name of an organic fertilizer and detoxifying agent composed in the 1980s by Dr. Teruo Higa, a Japanese agricultural scientist. In place of conventional petroleum based products, he combined organisms from yeast, rainwater and yogurt (all universally available) into stable compositions; i.e., these organisms consume each other's waste. NONE OF THESE BACTERIA ARE GENETICALLY MODIFIED.
EM balances and re-mineralizes soil and the run-off detoxifies fresh and salt water. This product is now used in 160 countries and TTT promotes its use in Alaska and other Pacific Rim states and countries.
